Erratum
Article Outline
In the February issue of Seminars in Perinatology, in the article by Davidoff and associates titled “Changes in the gestational age distribution among U.S. singleton births: Impact on rates of late preterm birth, 1992 to 2002 (30:8-15, 2006; doi: 10.1053/j.semperi.2006.01.009), the title of Figure 3 appears incorrectly. The title of Figure 3 should read: “Changing distribution of gestational age among all singleton live births (lines with markers (−)) and singleton live births with PROM (+), United States 1992, 1997 and 2002.” Additionally, the text references to “PROM stratified by induction curves” should be replaced with the following note: “When singleton live births with PROM are stratified by induction status (figure available upon request), the data show that similar to singleton live births with PROM, the peak of the distribution of gestational age for the PROM curves with and without induction remained at 39 weeks throughout the study period. Both sets of curves are elevated between 33 and 37 weeks relative to the shape of the distributions at <39 weeks. However, the elevation is much less pronounced among PROM births with induction, which have a larger majority of births delivered around the peak of the distribution at 39 weeks.”
The above corrections do not affect the major results reported in this study.
We apologize for any inconvenience these errors have caused.
